Paul Weller
Under 16s must be accompanied
Few people have had as great an influence on the British music scene as Paul Weller. As frontman of The Jam, Weller spearheaded the Mod revival in the late '70s and early '80s, scoring a string of hits, including Going Underground and A Town Called Malice.
He had further success with the blue-eyed soul music of the Style Council in the mid to late ‘80s, before establishing himself as a solo artist. Paul Weller’s 15th solo album, On Sunset, was released in July 2020 and debuted atop the UK chart, giving Weller UK number-one albums spanning five consecutive decades. Weller’s 16th solo album, Fat Pop (Volume 1), was released to critical acclaim on 14 May 2021 and entered the charts at number-one.
Singer-songwriter Andrew Cushin has just been announced as support for this forthcoming Paul Weller concert. The 21-year old musician recently signed a record deal with the Strap Originals label, which is owned by Libertines legend Pete Dougherty. From a collaboration and recording with Britpop legend Noel Gallagher to sell out hometown gigs the multi-skilled musician is one of Newcastle’s rising talents.
Child Policy:
Children aged five and over, should purchase a General Admission ticket. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. No more than four under 16s per adult.
