The Barrel House is serving brand new lunchtime plays this summer, complete with a drink and pasty for every theatregoer, once a month between May and August. Inspired by the Glaswegian theatre institution ‘A Play, A Pie and A Pint,’ the season of plays will bring a variety of quality storytelling to the Ballroom stage. Each play has been specially chosen to be enjoyed with a pasty and drink, included in the ticket price, and will open with Anybody Can Jump (May 20th, 21st & 22nd) By James Harker A show about one man from Paignton, his estranged father, and the legendary motorcycle daredevil Evel Knievel. This comedic drama about extremes of masculinity, follows a life story of glorious failure and occasional glory. In the words of Evel himself, “anybody can jump, the trouble begins when you try to land.”
