DEYA x Byrd Out present: Mind Expansion Pack 2.022
An extended mini-festival on the DEYA Brewery site, headlined by dance music titans The Orb!
On Thursday Bank Holiday (2 June) we have put together a lineup of artists tugging at the frayed threads of convention to bring you an 8 hour sonic voyage, underpinned by DEYA's excellent drinks and top notch catering on site.
There will be live music, DJ sets and surprises - be sure to bring your dancing shoes to get down to some electro, acid, ambient house and off kilter beats!
LINEUP
The Orb (3 hour DJ set)
What can you say about The Orb? They virtually invented ambient house, they've collaborated with everyone from David Gilmour of Pink Floyd to Lee Scratch Perry, and they continue to headline festivals around the world. We're thrilled to be bringing Alex Paterson and Michael Rendell for a mammoth three hour session on the decks, bringing the event to a tumultuous finale.
DMX Krew
A constant musical force in the UK electronic scene, releasing on the legendary Rephlex label and more recently Peggy Gou's imprint, acid master DMX Krew's set will not be one to miss!
Lara Jones (live)
Having recently featured a groundbreaking guest mix on Mary Anne Hobbs’ BBC 6 Music show, Lara is on the cutting edge of experimental music, both in and out of jazz.
iz.wav
1020 Radio resident brings a set for which there are no genre limitations but you can expect percussion heavy sounds with a UK flavour.
Moina Moin
Moina Moin is half of experimental pop duo Mermaid Chunky, releasing on Faith And Industry Records. Expect outernational sounds with a wonky beat.
Unicorn Ship Explosion (live)
Mysterious contributor to Patched In: Sounds Of The Stroud Underground, an album put out by Sound Records. To be honest, we're not sure what to expect here!
