Michael Grimm is a powerhouse of soul and an accomplished guitar player.
Grimm’s roots started in country music in Waveland, Mississippi singing gospel music at church with his grandmother. At the age of 17 he won the “Christian Country Music Association Award” in Nashville for his single “John Wayne and Jesus”. Since then, Grimm’s style has evolved into an Americana Blue-Eyed Soul Singer. It was this sound that earned him recognition.
Millions of people nationwide recognize the earthy voice and soulful stage presence of the acclaimed winner of NBC’s America’s Got Talent Season 5.
After winning AGT, Grimm appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, performed on NBC’s Today Show, headlined the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and toured nationally as the headliner with the “America’s Got Talent Tour” and internationally has performed in Shanghai, China and Europe to enthusiastic audiences.
In 2011, he signed and recorded an album in Hollywood for Epic Records with Grammy Award Winner and producer Don Was on which he recorded tracks with country music singer Travis Tritt and Heart’s Ann Wilson.
He has had the pleasure to work with legends like Blue-Eyed Soul Singer Bill Medley of the Righteous Brothers, BB King, and The Doobie Brothers. He did a 25 city national tour with Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac and opened for Ann and Nancy Wilson of HEART in 26 different cities.
He’s been working predominately for the past 7 or 8 years at all the major venues in Las Vegas. Currently, Michael is headlining his residency at the prestigious Smith Center (the Las Vegas Cultural Arts Center) with his 10-piece band, while working on a music project with mentor Bill Medley. Between Smith Center shows, he does concerts all over the country.
