Peep Peep – Get ready for a full day of fun! Thomas the Tank Engine is rolling into town for a day of BIG dreams and even BIGGER smiles. Jump on board Thomas for an interactive train ride, pick up your Dream Pass and head to the Play Pod or say hello to Sir Topham Hatt. For the little engineers who want a little more excitement, check out the Dream Big Corner for photo ops, lawn games & more. And don’t forget to head to the Exclusive Pop Up gift shop for toys and swag! Day Out With Thomas is heading to heritage railways across the country – bring the whole family & imagine how far you will go!

Face masks are optional for the train ride and in all areas of the N.C. Transportation Museum. As COVID-19 protocols can change, visitors to the N.C. Transportation Museum must follow requirements in effect at the time of their visit.
The museum is walking intensive and involves entering and exiting several buildings and outside areas. Visitors with mobility issues are encouraged to bring their own wheelchairs, walkers, etc., as required. One car of the Thomas train is equipped for ADA accessibility including several wheelchair spaces and companion seating. One car of the Percy train is equipped for ADA accessibility with two wheelchair spaces and companion seating. Both trains have access to a wheelchair lift for loading into ADA designated cars. The other cars on the trains are not ADA accessible due to the vintage nature of their construction.
Day Out With Thomas ™ event admission is required for access to the N.C. Transportation Museum during Day Out With Thomas ™ event days.
