Patchwork Studios Presents
Southwest Showcase: The Cabarats + Ez Dickens (Drop in the Ocean)
£8.50 + BF
Roll up. Roll up. The Cabarats are in town! An unorthodox quintet on a mission to enchant the world with a combination of traditional Balkan and Middle Eastern sounds and lively reggae and ska, using a collection of intriguing instruments such as accordion, oud, keyboard and brass. Fresh from supporting renowned acts such as Dubioza Kollectiv, Tankus the Henge, The Undercover Hippy, and Cut Capers, plus headlining their own shows across the nation and embarking on various European adventures, we can't wait for the circus party.
Up first is Ez Dickens, a singer-songwriter from the southwest, playing an acoustic blend of reggae with folk-like story telling written from the perspective of a young person's view on the world and the twists and turns through life. With influences such as Binbag Wisdom, Tash Sultana and The Undercover Hippy, Ez will make you laugh, dance and cry all at the same time.
Tickets are limited and advanced booked is essential, under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult and leave when amplified music ends at 10pm. After that we'll wind down for a few hours with some chilled tunes, giving you all an opportunity to catch up, relax and leave at your leisure. Garrison Gallery will be open next door serving up a wide range of delightful cocktails which you are very welcome to bring through to enjoy within the venue. See you up the hill!
