Punk Is Dad 5 Feat. Fast Eddy + Dressy Bessy + Jaguar Stevens
Dorian De Long was an educator, activist, and family man, but when not working or enjoying time with his wife and young daughter, Dorian could be found at the Larimer Lounge, 3 Kings, Hi-Dive, the Bluebird Theater, or one of Denver's other live music venues.
Following his death of a heart attack in May 2015, a group of Dorian's friends printed t-shirts that featured Buster, the De Long family's Boston Terrier, which Dorian would stencil on stickers and magnets and put up around town. On the back of the shirt the guys printed "PUNK IS DAD," which they took from Dorian's Facebook cover photo.
The first Punk Is Dad events were held at the Oriental Theater in May 2016, mainly to occupy the energies of Dorian's family and friends on the first anniversary of his death. Events were held each of the following years until COVID-19 forced the cancellation of Punk Is Dad 5 in 2020. Welcome back Punk Is Dad 5 at The Black Buzzard!
