Carl Christensen & The Lake Flora Band w/ Rug & Erick Irons
$14.00
“While the first half of the track pulls you in with folksy, narrative lyricism and a snappy tempo, the second half sucker-punches you with a deviously intelligent plot twist.”
- Dan’s Tunes Seattle in their 2020 review of Carl Christensen’s “Cult Leader.”
With wordy, clever, and wry lyricism Carl Christensen writes songs with a healthy sense of humor and a heavy dose of cynicism. Backed by the iconic Lake Flora Band, Christensen & Co. thunder through his take on 4-chords and the truth over a unique blend of Folk, Americana, and Rock. With devilish charm and charismatic wit, The Lake Flora Band use this tried-and-true musical blueprint to tell new, and off-the-wall stories.
After a string of energetic and raucous performances throughout 2022, including two large scale collaborative shows, ‘The Crossover Episode’ (at Conor Byrne) and ‘The Hometown Heroes’ (at Tractor Tavern) Carl C & LFB went into the studio to record their much-anticipated Debut album.
Carl Christensen & The Lake Flora Band’s debut effort, Actor, Singer, Liar, Stripper is a playful yet pointed batch of ten songs, who’s social and political commentary is made palatable, but no less potent by it’s sense of humor. Christensen & Co. plan to celebrate the release of their project at the Tractor Tavern on June 30th and will be joined by friends and collaborators, Rug and Erick Irons.
