MILITIA OF LOVE
The rhythm section came together in the mid 2000s initially formed by bassist and vocalist Robert Melendez, best known for his infamous band Cardiff Reefers from the late 80s/ early 90s. Joining him on drums is Efrain Cantu, a master drummer in his own right, who honed his chops performing in Santa Clara Vanguard as lead snare. Guitarist Gregg Ichikawa is a product of Musicians Institute in LA and met Melendez while playing in a Reggae group from SLO called the Rock Steady Posse. Keyboardist Steve Sagrero is a self taught rhythmic master who got his start jamming with Dubwise from Salinas CA.
