Hailing from North London, Paris Rabone discovered his love for music in his family's iconic record shop in Central London. Surrounded by a steady stream of artists, musicians and DJ’s, and endless collections of black music, his own journey into music was inevitable.
From the age of eleven Paris honed his skills as a musician, recording himself at home with £20 second-hand equipment he had saved diligently for and purchased from a local shop in his neighbourhood. He focused on recording covers of his favourite R&B songs, while trying his hand at songwriting. Finally at age 14 Paris began to produce his own music and started releasing covers on social media.
Through a popular social media platform he fostered one of his greatest relationships in the music industry, with legendary artist Erykah Badu. That carried through to today as he recently made his live performance debut at the iconic Royal Festival Hall opening up for her.
The past few years has seen Paris deepen and diversify his eclectic musical style and taste. His obsession with Jazz drives his passion as a producer and a myriad of influences fuels the experimental nature of his music.
With the forthcoming single “Marrow” we see the turning point for him as an artist. Already receiving plays from BBC Radio 6 music tastemakers Gilles Peterson and Lauren Laverne, “Marrow” tells the tale of re-birth after heartbreak and serves as Paris’ official debut.
