Progenitors of dreampop, shoegaze, post-rock, indie-dance and indie-dub, A.R. Kane are the unsung heroes of the 80s and 90s musical soundscape.
With bands like Slowdive and Seefeel citing them as a key influence on their sound, and the late Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnston naming their club night after their hit single 'A Love From Outer Space', the band have been described as "arguably the most criminally under-recognised band of their era".
Setting the scene for musical developments such as shoegazing, trip hop, ambient dub and post-rock, "A.R. Kane pushed boundaries most of their contemporaries completely ignored." (Pitchfork)
Following the recent release of the A.r.kive box set, we're delighted to announce this rare live return.
Presented by the Jazz Cafe x Test Pressing.
